Underrated sound expert Final Audio has announced a new version of its ZE3000 True Wireless Earbuds, the last ZE3000 SV. These are not only a minor update: they also have brand new drivers and active noise reduction.
We like Final’s headphones, but they are not as well known as they should be. The last Audio UX3000 Over-Ears got the full five stars in our review, and so did the affordable wired in the ears, the last VR500. And we gave the last ZE8000 MK2 earplugs four and a half stars out of five. So I’m fascinated by these because they promise a lot of performance for not a lot of money.
Final ZE3000 SV: Key features and pricing
There are three important new features in these buds. The first is the new F-Core SV drivers, which are 10 mm dynamic drivers-a significant increase from the previous 6 mm drivers. Final says the drivers are designed to fully utilize the acoustic space inside the earplugs “without the need for equalization.”
The other new feature is called the F-Link port. It has been carefully created to optimize the pressure inside the earplugs while still retaining waterproofing and final lifting severe bass as a result.
And third, there is Comfort ANC, Final’s latest version of Active Noise Cancellation. The promise here is effective ANC without the strange press feeling you can sometimes get from ANC buds.
There is also an under-60m game mode with low latency, multi-point connection and a seven-band equalization in the Companion app. There is support for LDAC Hi-Res sound up to 96 kHz/24-bit, and the life of the battery is a promised seven hours from the buds and 28 including the charging case. It’s with ANC on, so is above average.
