The boys Season 5 will be a full -blown Supernatural Reunion after Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins confirmed that they have joined the former crew.
In a video that is posted on The boys‘Different social channels yesterday (February 26) is Jensen Ackles, who plays soldier boy in the popular Prime Video Series and its wider live-action franchise that asks his Supernatural co -stars to join him for The boys‘Last chapter, confirmed by Amazon in May 2024. Urrading responds Padalecki and the Collins call, confirming that they have officially signed up to appear in Amazon’s TV adaptation.

Padalecki’s commitment to The boys‘Fifth season is not a big surprise. Eric Kripke, The boys‘Showrunner/Executive producer, previously revealed that he had asked Padalecki to participate in the hit satirical superhero show ensemble. Last June, Padalecki (Pr. Deadline) announced that he had accepted Kripke’s invitation.
Collins’ involvement was not a prior conclusion. In fact, there has been little to suggest that he would join his guy Supernatural Working alumni in appearing in one of the best prime video shows’ last chapter. But he will do just that.
The additions of Padalecki and Collins to The boys 5‘s role crew realizes Kripke’s dream of tea-teaming with the duo and ackles to a post-Supernatural project. In fact, Kripke served as a showrunner during the latter successful 15-season race. So, as I said, The boys‘Final Hurray will be a fully expanded reunion between Supernatural‘s creator and main herd.

No one knows. Hollywood Reporter (THR) has claimed they will be in guest roles, but there is no indication of how big or small these roles will be.
One thing is for sure though: The trio will share scenes together. After reaching out to Amazon MGM Studios, Thr Reporter Rick Porter said that Ackles, Padalecki and Collins appear on screen at some point in Season 5.
This does not mean that Padalecki and Collins join Ackles to fit up as SUPES, even if it is definitely an option. The boys Season 4 included brand new SUPES, such as FireCracker and Sister Sage, which is not shown in Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s graphic novels of the same name. Padalecki and Collins may play completely original, composed V-driven individuals rather than the character superpower or otherwise have appeared in the comics.
Until we find out more about who they want to make, The boys‘Fanbase is nevertheless having fun deciding which individuals they could play. A thread on The boys‘Reddit Page is full of suggestions, with some comments that Padalecki could play an older version of Ryan Butcher if there is a significant time jump between seasons 4 and 5, while others believe that his and Collins’ characters will be allied in the titular super -hating group.
It will be a while before we learn more about the identity of their characters. Main photography first started in Season 5 in November 2024 and is not expected to pack until mid -2025.
