Islamabad:
About a quarter of the MNAs attended all the six meetings of the 13th session in Parliament’s lower house during February 10-18, while 46 legislators in the 342-strong house did not show up throughout the session.
According to the participation report, 77 MNAs or 25%attended all meetings, while 46 MNAs or 15%did not attend any meeting. As many as 237 MNAs or 75% jumped at least one sitting during the session, 83 MNAs or 35% submitted leave use.
Among the absent, 154 MNAs or 65%, the procedure burst without any use. The third sitting witnessed the highest participation with 205 MNAs, or 65%, present, while the fourth meeting had the lowest participation, with 142 MNAs or 45% present.
Among the cabinet members had the Prime Minister for Finance and Revenue, and the Minister of Power had the highest participation that attended five meetings. The prime minister did not attend any meeting while the opposition leader attended three meetings.
