- ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5090 OC Edition has taken a big leap over Nvidia’s Founders Edition Model via Overclocking
- It has broken four overclocking world records and reached a boost -ur of 3.45 ghz
- Unfortunately, the stock still remains low across any online retailer
Nvidia’s RTX 5000 series GPU launch is filled with problems, from limited accessibility (among both Founders Edition and Third Party Card) to missing rops -but now Asus is responsible for some good news about RTX 5090.
Asus’ ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090, which breaks four over -clocking of world records, reached a boost -watch over 3.4 GHz with 35 GBPS GDDR7 VRAM, reported by Tom’s hardware. While ROG Astral already has a boost watch of 2.58 GHz out of the box, benchmarks (with advanced processors) on Safedisk performed by the well-known overclock Tony Yu GPU pushing out over his OC-boundary-via air cooling, it maintained a stable 3 GHz watch speed, while a fluid cooling method pushed over to 3.45 GHZ, tirelessly impressive.
The RTX 5090 is already a Powerhouse GPU – ‘Overkill’ is a better description, honest – as its 32 GB VRAM of approx. 28 Gbps is more than enough to handle AAA games. With a push up to 35 Gbps (under the 3.45 GHz result), games would be a cakewalk for Blackwell GPU – although it is safe to say that this over -clocking method is only for those who are absolutely dead to get the very best out of the most powerful GPU available.
Thanks to Asus’ Quad -Fan -Design with claims about up to 20% better air flow, an incredibly high level of over -blinks is possible, even without the advanced fluid implemented by YU -but it certainly does not come at an affordable price. Given the RTX 5090’s limited availability, its ridiculous $ 3,079.99 / £ 2,889.99 / AU $ 6,499.00 Price will probably be inflated when it becomes available again.
Good luck getting any RTX 5090 GPUs to begin with
Again, it is practically impossible to acquire an RTX 5090 at the retail price or even find an accessible for at all – so while the ROG Astral RTX 5090 is probably the best model (right now) to reach because of its over -clock features, but good luck finding one.
We know that Nvidia will restore its Founder’s Edition card in the end, again back to its verified priority access arrangement, which can help some in the United States get their hands on GPU. As for third -party cards (like ROG Astral), you are likely to be forced to overpower if you are out of one – not only do we have it with great demand, but also Scalpers, so it’s not an easy task.
In addition, there are still reasons why I would recommend staying away from Blackwell GPUs for now – there may still be problems to be detected, with a good example of the missing rops and some user’s GPU power adapters overheating.
However, I have to admit that it is fascinating to see how far the RTX 5090 can be pushed with regard to its performance features, and I can’t wait to see how it handles upcoming AAA titles.
