Bills Star believes the team would have had ‘better chance’ than bosses in the Super Bowl

After watching Kansas City Chiefs’ poor performance last month’s Super Bowl against Philadelphia Eagles, a Buffalo Bills star says his team would have had a “better chance” by winning.

Kansas City had a lightdown game in New Orleans, lost 40-22, and the scoring does not necessarily reflect the overall excursion the team had. The Eagles were dominant on both sides of the ball before allowing 16 points in the fourth quarter of the game already out of reach.

To get to their third straight Super Bowl, the bosses had to get through the bills once again and they did the job at home despite it coming down to the cord in the end.

After seeing what Chiefs did, Bills Left Tackle Dion Dawkins is convinced that his team would have done much better against Philadelphia.

“We would have put on a better show in the Super Bowl,” Dawkins told “Pivot Podcast.”

Dawkins was in New Orleans for Super Bowl Week and participated in the game at Caesar’s Superdome.

While accepting another loss after the Chiefs season, Dawkins was convinced to assess how it all went down.

“Now, after going to the Super Bowl and seeing it and feeling these feelings, not to say that we would have just gone in there and beat the Eagles. We would have had a chance,” Dawkins explained. “We would have had a better chance.”

Dawkins has been with the bills eight seasons and has the important job of protecting MVP quarterback Josh Allen’s blind side. He was another round of choice out of Temple in 2017.

With the bills, Dawkins has experienced success in the regular season, which has led to playoff bunks in all except one of his seasons.

However, Chiefs has knocked them out of the playoffs four different times. All four of them have come in the last five seasons.

Allen and Bills’ offense were unable to return to Arrowhead Stadium again when Chiefs’ defense came up on the clutch, and Patrick Mahomes and Chiefs’ violation caused the first downturns to ice victory.

Buffalo must first reach the Super Bowl to test Dawkins’ theory.

And it is likely that Chiefs will continue to be a team that the bills have to go through to make it happen.
