NFL -legend Eddie George to become Bowling Green’s next main coach reports

The former NFL star, who runs back and Tennessee State main football coach Eddie George, is changing area codes. George has agreed to become the next coach for Bowling Green Falcons, according to several reports.

Sources told ESPN that the university is expected to officially announce George’s arrival on Sunday afternoon. George’s decision comes shortly after reports showed up and said the school expanded an offer for the four-time pro bowler.

Bowling Green conducted an interview with George Friday pr. Espn.

Before Coaching, George rose to football star status under his stars’ stint in Ohio State. He rushed at 3,768 meters during his time with Buckeyes and won Heisman Trophy from 1995.

Tennessee State experienced success under George. The Tigers stopped their ticket to FCS playing game the last season, marking the program’s first playoff -kaj since 2013.

Scot Loeffler created opening of head coach at Bowling Green When he traveled to take the Quarterbacks trainer job at the Philadelphia Eagles.

The reigning Super Bowl -masters needed to fill their quarterbacks -trainer free after Doug Nussmeier followed Kellen Moore to New Orleans Saints. Nussmeier will serve as the offensive coordinator of New Orleans during the 2025 season during the head coach Moore.

George spent most of his professional football career with Titans before closing his time in the NFL with Dallas Cowboys. He has 10,441 career rushing yards and is still the titans’ rush leader.

George’s tenure at TSU is in line with a tendency for NFL stornings to take main training jobs at historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) before jumping to a school competing at FBS level.

Deion Sanders was appointed head coach of Jackson State in 2020. He left after the 2022 season in favor of the main coach job in Colorado.

Meanwhile, former Atlanta Falcons star Michael Vick was recently named the next head coach of Norfolk State, and Desean Jackson coaches Delaware State Football team this coming season.
