Govt to revise the prohibited device list

Prime Minister of Law and Justice Attorney Aqeel Malik has said the government will revise its list of organizations described with the help of US agencies, including the Ministry of State.

He added that individuals associated with these groups could face us travel restrictions.

When he spoke on a private news channel the other day, Aqeel said Pakistanis would not be subjected to any travel ban.

“People do not need to be worried that there is some visa ban against Pakistan or that they will be denied entry,” he said. “We are not looking at a direct ban on Pakistanis coming into the United States.”

He noted that both Pakistan and the US need to update their lists of banned organizations.

“The list of groups described needs to be updated, and I’m sure the Ministry of State will also update their own lists,” Aqeel said.

“We will share information with them – which is intelligence sharing – and based on our list they will update their lists of banned Pakistani organizations as well,” he said.

“If any individuals maintain connections with these organizations, their entry can be refused and their visas can be revoked.”

The minister reiterated the minister that ordinary Pakistanis would not face travel restrictions.
