- Demand has reportedly been weak for OLED iPad Pro
- This means that there are some expected changes to Apple’s OLED shutter
- This year’s iPad Pro -Upgrade is set to be minor
Our iPad Pro 13-inch (2024) Review will tell you that we love the latest version of the tablet-the first to sports an OLED screen-but it does not come cheap, and its price is reportedly leading to weak demand for Apple slate.
This comes from trade analysts at Meritz Securities (via @jukanlosreve), with about 5.7 million units that seem to be shipping last year. If exactly, this number is one way down to the nine million devices that Apple initially hoped to change.
In addition, the same report says there will not be many changes in the OLED iPad Pro that are jammed to launch later in the year. Although it is expected to get an upgrade to an M5 chip, it sounds like everything else will be more or less the same.
Given that the device is not exactly flying from the shelves right now, and is not getting a big upgrade this year, Apple is said to revise its OLED -Tech plans -with some products that emerge and some are pushed back.

An upgrade to the OLED technology in the iPad Pro – which contains something called Capsule OLED enclosure, for improved performance and durability – has apparently been pushed back from 2027 to 2028.
While the starting price of $ 999 / £ 999 / AU $ 1,699 may expose potential buyers from the 2024 iPad Pro, it seems that Apple will continue to use the most expensive OLED screens for it. IPad Mini and iPad Air are believed to be cheaper OLED -Tech.
