Representative Eric Burlison (R-MO) wrote a letter to MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred, where he said his belief that Trevor Bauer has been eradicated from the league because of his support to Trump.
Bauer was suspended in 324 matches in 2021 for violating MLB’s joint domestic violence, sexual assault and politics for child abuse. His suspension was reduced to 194 (represented the time he missed in 2021 while on administrative leave and the whole season of 2022), but he was still released by Los Angeles Dodgers before the 2023 season began. As a result, he played professionally in Japan in 2023 and in Mexico in 2024.
The majority of Bauer’s legal questions are behind him and have maintained his innocence, settled with one prosecutor, while another is facing 16 years in prison after being indicted for fraud after the forgery of a pregnancy and asked Bauer for money for an abortion.

However, it is almost four all years since Bauer last took an MLB haug, and Burlison takes MLB to the task of why.
“Mr. Bauer was suspended in 324 games; the longest non-life sustaine pension in the league’s history, despite Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office refusing to pursue criminal charges against him with reference to insufficient evidence …” Burlison wrote.
“Given that no lawsuits were taken against Mr. Bauer, I am concerned that his absence may be linked to certain political statements, which he made, diverging from the prevailing league Orthodoxy, as well as statements he made critical of MLB and especially you. Specifically expressed Mr. Bauer in 2016. A social media post, his belief that not -spiring fellow human beings should not be tolerated, which was taken as a resistance to MLB’s diversity, justice and inclusion (DEI) policies.

“Given the timing and severity of Mr. Bauer’s suspension, it is reasonable to question whether MLB’s actions were affected more by his political attitudes and criticism of [Manfred] and MLB than by the accusations against him, which has since been undermined by legal review and lack of evidence. ”
Bauer, who once said he “may not have any other choice,” but to sue the league for his exhaust, Pakinomist told Digital in a sit-down interview last year that he had never done anything “criminal” but still had to look in the mirror and work on himself after the allegations.
“Anyone who is willing to sit down with me and listen: I want to play the other half of my career in a better way than I played the first half,” Bauer told Pakinomist Digital. “I want to be an example of you being able to make mistakes, recognize them, adjust and then be better in the future. I think it’s something that us as humans should do and should do constantly.”
In a combined 28 starts in the Covid-shortened 2020 season and his abbreviated 2021 campaign his era was a minuscule 2.24, and he beat 11.8 fighters per year. Nine laps with a 0.92 whip. He was named the winner of the NL Cy Young Award in 2020.

Bauer and Lindsey Hill, who accused the jug of beating and sexually abusing her in 2021, settled their case late last year. Bauer revealed lyrics from Hill that had said that Bauer would be her “next victim”, among other cursed messages. Hill has since said that MLB has several evidence of Bauer’s alleged mismatch.
