Traffic Police prohibit taxis, rickshaws in different markets in Karachi

Karachi: Due to the city’s rising traffic problems, Karachi Traffic Police has devised a plan in view of the heavy audience in the markets in front of Eid Ul Fitr.

The traffic plan determines a ban on the entry of taxis and rickshaws in various markets that have been plagued by overcrowding.

According to the new restrictions, taxa-inclusive on-call and rickshaws have been banned by teenager Talwar, and commuters have been asked to use Clifton Bridge, Race Course and Khaliq Uz Zaman Road.

The entry of taxis and rickshaws is also prohibited by the load, leading from Tariq Road to ittehad signal.

The traffic police have said that traffic coming from Millenium will be directed at NIPA via the Millenium Bridge, while commercial traffic will be redirected against shipowners College and Landi Kotal Chowrangi from five-star Chowrangi.

Meanwhile, vehicles from the board office will be redirected against KDA Chowrangi, Zia Udin Chowrangi and Pahahar Ganj.
