Despite a cruel injury that required a wheelchair help this week, Duke plays Men’s Basketball Star Cooper Flagg in the NCAA tournament, according to his team.
Duke and Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) informed NCAA Tournament Selection Committee that Flagg will be available to the tournament, said Dan Gavitt, NCAA Senior Vice President of Basketball, Saturday.
Gavitt made the comments on CBS before Sunday’s announcement of the area 68.
Flagg sprained his left ankle during Duke’s victory against Georgia Tech on Thursday in the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament quarterfinals.

It happened when Flagg jumped to get a rebound. When he fell on the floor, he landed on his left ankle. He immediately curled himself on the floor. The 6-foot-9-new one hanging on the floor a few moments before being helped by his teammates. Flagg then limped to the bench, clearly in need, before sitting down.
After leaving the game, Flagg was put in a wheelchair and taken to the dressing room.

Despite the injury, Flagg returned from the dressing room to the bench to cheer on his teammates in the second half, but he did not return.
Duchy coach Jon Scheyer said at a news conference after postgame that there was swelling at the ankle.

Flagg, named ACC Player and Newcomer of the Year of Associated Press Tuesday, missed Friday’s semi -final victory against rival North Carolina. Afterwards, Scheyer Flagg steered for Saturday night title game against No. 13 Louisville.
Flagg sat on the bench in black warm -ups during the UNC game and stood on the back of hugs with the wounded teammate Maliq Brown. Flagg went without a major limp or protective boot during Friday’s game.
Gavitt said that Flagg’s status is not the only damage that the committee traces throughout the weekend, as the player accessibility can be included in a team’s grafting.
