Rachel Zegler took a moment to express his gratitude and love for his snow-white role during an emotional speech at an early screening of live-action Snow white Remake.
The 23-year-old actress surprised her fans with a touching tribute to her titular character of Disney Princess, Origignally created in 1937’s animated Snow white and the seven dwarfs.
“This is a movie that is so close to my heart. I tried on this movie when I was 19 years old and I’m about to turn 24,” Zegler said in a clip shared by Disney. “So it’s a really big part of my life, and about five of the seven years of my career who’s crazy. I love everyone in this movie so much.”
By reflecting on her five-year journey for her role in the film, Zegler noted that watching the film take shape feels deeply moving to her.
“Getting to the end of this way of this release feels really crazy, because when you spend so much time with something, it becomes such a big part of you and a big part of your heart. Snow White has really been so for me and to see this is really emotional to me. So I will try not to do it,” said Zegler, her voice cracked a little.
“I love her, and I’m so happy to see that so many of you love her too,” Zegler said. “Her superpower is her heart. It’s not a supernatural. It’s something that we all have. Deep inside us there is a legacy good and belief in the kindness of humanity.”
“I hope you go away from this movie and understand what the true meaning of fair is. I really hope that for the world too. Thank you so much for letting me be your snow white. It means the world to me,” she concluded.
This speech came in the midst of the backlash from the public and grabbed Disney’s Live-Action re-recording, all of which is ready to release on March 21.
