Islamabad:
Scooties have become an increasingly popular mode of transport among women in the twin towns of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, offering a practical, affordable and strengthening state to commute to work.
With increasing economic independence, increasing living costs and inflation, women quickly turn to scooties as a reliable mode of transport.
Today, it is a common sight to see that working women and students are zipping around two -wheelers, without problems navigating their daily commuter as a cheaper and easier way to transport. Sania, who with confidence, runs scooty from her home in Rawalpindi Saddar to her workplace in Islamabad, says her scooty is the perfect mode of transport for commuting to work. “It’s so convenient and saves me so much time and money.” She also says her scooty makes her feel authorized and strong. “I love that feeling of freedom it gives me.”
Aneta, a housewife, opines, “I use my scooty to take my kids to school and pick up groceries.” She says she can’t afford a car as she is the family’s parent and scooty is a more affordable and accessible opportunity for her.
Another commuter Sara Jahangir says, “To me, mornings can be chaotic and relying on public transport can be a hassle. But with my scooty I have found a game election. It is a huge relief to have a reliable and practical mode of transport that gets me where I need to go fast and stress -free.”
She also mentions that scooties require less maintenance than cars, making them a cost -effective option for women. Scooties give women the freedom to travel wherever they want whenever they want, she maintains.
