Rachel Zegler shares an insight into how she was thrown in Snow White and thanks Steven Spielberg for that.

The host, who appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel show, asked if she was trying on the iconic role, or whether her performance in the West Side history convinced the producers.

“I actually got a truly glowing recommendation from Steven Spielberg to [director] Marc Webb, ”she said.

“And I also got a text from Steven, referring to the fact that I had got that part before I found out. Because I wanted him a happy father’s day, and he did smear me a bunch of apple emojis in response,” the actress continued.

Rachel, a Swiftie, said, “Yes, he gave Taylor Swift Easter eggs about my casting.”

For that part, the 23-year-old said the role in the Disney movie was so secret that she did not initially know she was reading that part of Snow White.

“With all these Disney things, you have no idea what you’re reading,” she concluded. “That is ‘until Disney Live Action Film’ and the pages will have different names. That says Amber and Jeff.”
