Sony stops project sales in the UK and Europe, and it’s a great shame for hardcore home -biograffans

  • Sales of Sony projectors stop in the UK and the EU when the current stock is running out
  • Sony says one of its suppliers is subject to EU sanctions
  • US and other territories are not affected

Sony has suspended the sale of all its current home theater projectors in the European Union and also in the UK. It includes the newly launched and very impressive Bravia projector 8 and Bravia Projector 9 – so if you like the look of them, move fast while retailers still have stock.

If you want to know who is blamed, it seems to be Vladimir Putin: Sony’s decision seems to be to ensure compliance with EU export and trade restrictions that include sanctions against Russia and Belarus because of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

This is a real shame for fans of the UK and the EU Home Cinema because Sony’s projectors are really Good, and their flagships rank among the best 4K projectors. For example, we gave 4.5 stars to £ 15,999 Sony Bravia Projector 8.
