- Nintendo Music ‘Library has been expanded with songs from Tetris, Dr. Mario and Kirby and the forgotten country
- It is a significant extension of the music service provided with a switch online membership
- The droplet comes before April 2nd 2025 Nintendo Direct
We are just days away from the next Nintendo Direct-there will take place on April 2, 2025-as is very expected as it will be completely focused on the Nintendo Switch 2. Hopefully it will shed light on the price, the full function kit and the main launch titles.
In the forefront, Nintendo dropped some new tracks for his Nintendo Music app and as first reported by Nintendolifehas updated a support page that teases a major update to the independent app that arrived in October 2025.
Nintendo included songs from classics Tetris and – a personal favorite – Dr. Mario in the fall on March 25, 2025. It also included some tracks from Kirby and The Forgotten Land, a Nintendo Switch title. However, it is not the full soundtrack from Kirby that suggests that we could get another fall.
Look at
Although not every song from Kirby, a more extensive fall is appreciated for the service. Nintendo Music is essentially an Apple Music or Spotify-like music flow service dedicated to music from the Nintendo universe.
All your favorite tracks from Mario Kart, Animal Crossing and countless other titles are easily accessible to your listening pleasure via an app for Android and iOS – if you have a Nintendo Switch Online membership.
Now on Updated support pageNintendo clearly states that an update arrives in October 2025:
“Your data, such as your playlists, are saved even after you cancel your Nintendo Switch Online membership. We are planning an update around October 2025 that allows you to use some Nintendo music features such as the opportunity to edit, share or delete your playlists even after you cancel your Nintendo Switch MEMBER.”
Given that the update promises more social and management features, even if you are not a subscriber, Nintendo may change the requirement of a switch online membership to access the music flow service. It’s great to see that all your content – think playlists – will be saved if you disconnect your membership.
It may be to set the stage for some changes in access to Nintendo music or even a relocation of access to and streaming the songs. Time will show, but who knows, Nintendo may even better integrate the service with a major update into its online offering or with the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.
Time will show, but so far you can enjoy some cute tunes from Kirby and the forgotten country, Dr. Mario or countless other titles via the Nintendo Music app if you are a switch online subscriber.
