Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Dak Prescott was caught in a wild jerk on Wednesday with weeks to go before the NFL draft.
Cleveland-based sports broadcast Bruce Drennan put the rumor in the atmosphere when he was on his show on his show at his show that Cleveland Browns was negotiating a trade for the veteran quarterback.

“Get ready for this one,” he said at his show. “I got a beautiful Darn good source within Browns’ organization – a couple. I heard since our last show, the part of the reason why Myles Garrett was so willing to sign this expansion – yes, money, money, money – the brown dealers when we talk to Dallas Cowboys for a trade for Dak Prescott.”
Drennan added that Brown’s Cornerback Greg Newsome II and draft elections would be part of the deal.
Social media quickly turned around the deal, but the money did not seem to add the surface.

Browns have just over $ 18 million in Cap space back to 2025, according to over the cap.
Prescott’s Cap Hit for the 2025 season is $ 52.9 million alone this season, according to Spotrac. He gets a cap hit of $ 76.5 million in 2026 and about $ 70 million by 2027. Unless cowboys were willing to eat some of that money after they agreed to a four-year extension of $ 240 million with him last season, trade might not match any team’s benefit.
In addition, Prescott is one of the few players who have a full trade clause.
Yahoo Sports later reported that there was no trade in the works and there have been no trade negotiations around Prescott.

Browns seems to try to go with Deshaun Watson as the Start Quarterback for the 2025 season. Cleveland has no. 2 selection in the draft and could find themselves with the opportunity to choose either Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders if the team really wanted a QB.
