Jelly Roll partially owes to her teen’s daughter’s mental health struggles related to her mother.
The singer, 40, became sincere about the battles he and his family faced because of the addiction struggles for his baby mammary who he greeted the 16-year-old daughter Bailee Ann-I a new interview with Pivot Podcast.
“My child’s mother has been struggling with drug abuse since my daughter was born pretty much,” Jelly said at the podcast. “The dependent is not the victim in this situation. The family is.”
The singer began to wonder how Bailee must have received the news of his mother’s arrest earlier this month in Tennessee for the possession of drugs.
“It was a news article that her mother had gone back to jail had been caught up with, like Meth or something,” he said.
“I have seen the influence it has had on her. I have had a 16, almost 17-year-old upstairs, and I have seen the influence it has had-it has really affected her life,” added Jelly, who said the learning of the arrest “Bread” Bailee’s Heart.
“This is a 16, 17-year-old who knows that her mother is a drug addict, but like her, have to see the mug of her mother with just meth ate up on her face,” he continued, before taking a break to note that he was “becoming emotional” and talking about the case when he started crying.
The Save me Singer continued with how he has been able to cope with the situation and noticed that his daughter may not have it easy.
“I saw her going through it again. I was like, ‘Ah, man,’ I forgot because I’m like, I’m 40 and I’ve done a lot of therapy and I’ve done a lot of work and I have a relationship with God that it hurt me, but I just had to pray for it and move on,” Jelly said.
“But I was like,” ah, man, she’s 16, she doesn’t [sic] have any of these tools. She still wins these tools. This hurts her. ” ”
The father of two admitted that he feels responsible for large parts of his daughter’s suffering over family problems.
“I told my wife,” I’ve invited the world into our living room, so we just have to accept what comes with it, “he said, referring to wife Bunnie Xo.” This is my fault more than anyone. “
Jelly is also the father of son Noah Buddy from another relationship.
