Quetta: A strong explosion hit Quetta’s double road, killed at least three people and wounded 21 others, including security staff, shop owners and spectators.
The blasting targeted a police car on routine patrol and wounded officers seriously inside the vehicle.
According to Police Surgeon Dr. Ayesha Faiz lost three people their lives in the attack, while several wounded individuals remain in critical condition. Dr. Abdul Hadi, the Medical Superintendent (MS) at Sandeman Hospital, confirmed that four victims are in critical condition.
Meanwhile, Dr. Arbab Kamran, CEO of the Trauma Center, that emergency medical assistance is provided to all the wounded.
After the explosion, the authorities declared an emergency at Sandeman Hospital, which called all doctors and medical staff on an urgent basis. The area has been closed and security forces have launched an investigation into the attack.
