- The lies of P: Overture will not expand on the base game’s shocker of a post-credits scene
- Presumably this is saved to the game’s possible successor
- Director Jiwon Choi claims that DLC will take 15-20 hours to beat
It looks Lies of S.‘p upcoming Overture DLC will not elaborate on the base game’s stunner of a post-credits scene.
The game’s director, Jiwon Choi, confirmed just as much in a conversation with IGN on GDC 2025. Choi explained to outlets Overture, Addition: “Keep an eye on further messages in the future.”
What is more likely is that Neowiz wants the post-credits scene as the basis for Lies of p’s Successor, who has also been announced by the developer.
While Choi did not give anything away with regard to the aforementioned successor in his speech with IGN, he added it: “What I can definitely tell you is when we share such news or media and assets with you, you know for sure we are ready to present it to you.”
Spoilers to Lies of S.‘S scene after the credit is described below, read on at your own risk.
Look at
The Post-Credits scene for Lies of S. Rather unequivocally spelled that the next project from the developer will be the theme around The guide to OZ. Or more likely, the source material The wonderful guide to oz Posted by L. Frank Baum. In the scene we get a short shot of Dorothy – the protagonist of the work – by clicking on her iconic red slippers together.
The scene clearly gives away that the overall Lies of S. The universe will explore public domain adventure that the first game does for The adventurers from Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi.
Personally I prefer very much the fact that Overture DLC will continue to be based on the story of Pinocchio, with Wizard of Oz Setting is presumably saved for the successor.
Of course, this would give Neowiz a larger framework that one can explore Baum’s work with and give your own (probably very bleak) spin on the story.
With regard to Overture, However, CHOI mentions that DLC will take “experienced players” about 15-20 hours to beat and that they should play through the base game again to retrieve clues about what they can expect in the upcoming expansion.
