Micah Parsons is eligible for a contract extension, and his representatives and Dalla’s cowboys could soon have a massive new deal for all-pro pass Rusher.
During apparent negotiations, Jerry Jones seemed to take a jab at Parson’s agent, David Mulugheta.
According to Jones, he spent “five, six hours” who directly engaged with Parsons about the conditions of a potential new contract. And the long -time cowboy owner and general manager claimed he was not aware of Mulugheta’s name.

“And then my point is that I am not trying to tone him down in any way, but this is not about an agent. The agent doesn’t have one thing to do with what we do when we get on the football field against a team. Micah does. To that extent, I’m involved I do. The people who have something to do with what we do in the future of our fans and football, is me and the player, not the agent.”

Parsons saw Jones’ comments and responded with a strong show of support to Mulugheta and described the agent as “the best.”
“Facts !! David is the best and I will not make any appointment without @davidmulugheta involved!” Parsons wrote on x Tuesday. “Like anyone with good sense, I hired experts for a reason. There is no one I trust more when it comes to negotiating contracts than David! There will be no back doors in this contract negotiation.”
Mulgheta is first president of Teamsport at Athletes, a full service management company that represents players, coaches, staff and broadcasters. Mulugheta represents dozens of NFL players.
He has been at the center of conversations for several remarkable contracts for his clients, including Deshaun Watson’s unprecedented guaranteed contract with Cleveland Browns.

Jones proclaimed his negotiating skills when he remembered previous situations with former star players.
“Honestly, most people who negotiate with me will tell you it was better off than negotiating with anyone else, Stephen [Jones] or someone involved. This is not uncommon. I negotiated directly as far back as Emmitt [Smith]Deion [Sanders]. By the way, we have maintained relationships that have lasted well past their play days. “
The 2024 season was the last year in Parsons’ Rookie agreement. Cowboys exercised his opportunity for the fifth year in April 2024, which sets him in line for an estimated salary of $ 21,324 million in 2025.
Parsons has detected double-digit bags in each of its four NFL seasons. He performed in 13 games and ended last season with 12 sacks.
