Double-Z by Dazzle put me on my way today as I crossed these shine synonyms.
For anyone who is or was a parent, the word twinkle will have added meaning as a key component of a nursery rhyme that is intended to turn off small tots to sleep, and also one of the first things to be learned during music lessons – for these reasons it is just as nostalgic and cumbersome.
I’ve always struggled with the fact that light from our closest star system takes over four years to reach us, but if you knew me, this wouldn’t really surprise you, as when the clocks go forward or back, I’m in a state of confusion for the rest of the week and constantly asking myself “Yes, but what is it really?”
The fact that the spark I see in the night sky is from 2021 damages my brain almost as much as yesterday’s connections.

What is new threads?
Strands is Nyt’s non-new-new-more word games after Wordle and connections. It is now a fully expanded member of Nyt’s Games Stable, which has been running for a year and can be played on the new Games website on desktop or mobile.
