Full spoilers follow for A Minecraft movie.
A Minecraft movie has finally arrived in theaters. And whether you are planning to see it or not – read my review of A Minecraft movie To see if it is worth seeing – I suppose you will know if it has any end credits scenes.
Below, I reveal if Warner Bros’ film adaptation of Mojang’s hugely popular Sandbox game has a mid- and/or post-credit scene. I will explain what each or both sequences means for a possible successor, also with a little help from his instructor Jared Hess.
Larger spoilers immediately follow before A Minecraft movie. If you don’t want to know anything about it, you need to return now.
Does a Minecraft movie have a mid-circuit scene?
It does – and it’s probably the funniest scene in the whole movie that doesn’t say much for the rest of this Minecraft Live-Action-animated hybrid flick.
Still, the scene reunites us with Jennifer Coolidge’s Marlene, which you know if you’ve seen the movie if the entire sub -schedule (or should it be side emission?) Minecraftvillagers. The latter actually stumbles into the real world after he travels through the portal of the world, which was re -enabled when Henry, Garrett, Dawn and Natalie accidentally traveled in the opposite direction.
But I’ll take off. After Marlene runs over the mentioned villager, she apologizes by taking him out for dinner. Long story Short: The couple falls for each other.
It takes me with the mid -credit scene. The sequence sees Marlene and the named villager confess their love for each other, but not before Marlene’s ex-husband storms into her office (she is the vice president of the local city’s school) and requires to know how to replace him with the villager.
Before Marlene can respond, however, the villager suddenly begins to speak perfect English. Oh, and the actor behind the village of the village is none other than Matt Berry, which viewers will recognize from the Hulu series What we do in the shadowsas well as Prime Videos TV -Facing of Bethesda’s Fallout Video game franchise.
It’s a funny unexpected moment for two reasons. First, villagers can only communicate via a number of grinning and other sounds (otherwise known as ‘Standard Villic’ or ‘Villager Speak’). Hearing a speech like an ordinary human being is so pretty funny. The fact that Berry gives his unmistakable voice to the film’s most important villager makes things even more humorous.
Is there a post-credits scene in a Minecraft movie?
There is! And it is a pretty significant thing about the movie series potential future.
It opens at Steve, who has returned to the real world with his newfound human friends after saving the upper world from the malicious Piglin leader/witch quarter Malgosha. Arrived at the place he used to call home, he knocks on the front door and is greeted by a ginger -haired woman.
After exchanging pleasures and explaining why he is, Lady invites him in. Before she does, she introduces herself as Alex.
This is a pretty big deal for a few reasons. First, Alex is the second playable character skin that Mojang has ever created to Minecraft. Steve was the first standard character skin to be * ahem * designed by the Swedish video game manufacturer, but it didn’t take long for him to stay with his female counterpart. As Alex I. A Minecraft movieShe sports ginger hair.
The second reason why this is important is that it sets the scene for A Minecraft -Film 2. Warner Bros and Mojang have not officially announced that a sequel is in the works, but with one of 2025’s new films predicted to earn over $ 100 million globally in the opening saint on the 4th to 6 (per deadline), it seems to A Minecraft movie will find more than its reasonable proportion of gold at the worldwide ticket office.
As long as it turns out popular enough among cinema guests, the chances of another movie being made will rise. And when he spoke with Techradar prior to the film’s launch, Hess suggested that if a sequel is green -lit, A Minecraft movie‘s post-credits stinger is perhaps just the start of Steve and Alex’s adventures together.
“Well, I hope it’s a drill for a sequel!” he told me. “We’ll see how this one does it first but it would be great to go on another Minecraft Adventures with some other amazing characters. “
