Prince Andrew’s spy scandal beats devastating blows to King Charles

King Charles was aware of the investment fund in which his younger prince Andrew and Yang Tengbo, an alleged Chinese spy, were involved, said a report with reference to new court documents.

According to The Guardian, it was revealed in a testimony that was delivered to an immigration court by Dominic Hampshire, a senior adviser for Prince Andrew.

The report said Hampshire stated that he and Prince Andrew were twice smuggled into the Windsor Castle for secret meetings with the king where the Eurasia fund was discussed.

According to The Guardian, the Foundation, which aimed to plow Chinese investments in renewable energy in Africa, would have given an income for the Duke after his public fall from grace.

With reference to sources, the report said the fund failed to get off the ground and never acted, but it seems to have been linked to a unit called Eurasia Global Partners, incorporated as a management consultant in November 2022.

Andrew was facing intense media study in December last year after revelations that a close Chinese business relationship of the scandal-hit younger brother of King Charles was assumed by the British government to be a Chinese spy.

In a court decision, it was revealed that businessman Yang Tengbo had been banned from Britain on national security reasons because the authorities who suspected he worked secretly for Beijing to forge close contacts with prominent British figures.
