I was on a football/football game last weekend, where I was sitting next to a very high -steering person who, it became increasingly clear, attended his first live match.
I was able to derive this by his random cries of “Come on Our Team” and “Let’s Win This, Guys”. He was also quite drunk, and I suspect he may have forgotten the names of the teams he watched.
Either way, I’m facing these sporting words, I’m in danger of sounding very similar to my noisy companion if I’m trying to blast some quickly googled content about the NBA-Play-in tournament that is particularly compelling this season. So I won’t.

What is new threads?
Strands is Nyt’s non-new-new-more word games after Wordle and connections. It is now a fully expanded member of Nyt’s Games Stable, which has been running for a year and can be played on the new Games website on desktop or mobile.
