  • Zardari Contracted “Non -Deadly” Covid Variant: Dr. Asim.
  • “The hospital arranged medicine not available in Pakistan.”
  • Doctor says the president should be discharged from the hospital within a day.

President Asif Ali Zardari is recovering well and will be discharged from the hospital in a day or two, said his doctor Dr. Asim Hussain Saturday.

“The president is doing well now,” Dr. Asim while approaching the media in Karachi. He added that “speculation should stop now”.

The president had been placed in isolation after testing positively for Covid-19 a few days ago.

In the previous update, the doctor said the president received medical treatment from specialists in infectious diseases at a private hospital.

In today’s press, he elaborated that the hospital arranged some medicines for the head of state that were not available in Pakistan. ASIM added that coronavirus is still present in the country and its cases are reported.

He added that anti-viral drugs have been developed for Covid-19 patients who are very effective.

Asim said that the president was moved to Karachi on Monday night and his treatment was started.

It turned out to be a Covid-19 variant after his medical test confirmed the diagnosis, Asim said, adding that the variant was non-fatal.

The doctor also expressed grief over “baseless reports” sent by Indian media and certain social media accounts.

ASIM threw political opponents to vri Facts and said that even ailing persons were not spared such wrong information.

Earlier, Sindh senior minister Sharjeel Memon reported reports on Zardari’s health and said his health improved.

In a statement, Memon said that reports suggesting that President Zardari was moved to Dubai for medical treatment was not true and that the latter would soon recover completely.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif asked about President Zardari Health via a phone call.

The prime minister asked for the early recovery of the president, adding that prayers from all over the nation were with the president.
