Punjab Seeking Army, Rangers -Implementation to HBL PSL X SECURITY

The Punjab Home Department has requested the insertion of the Pakistan Army and Rangers devices to provide security for HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches in Lahore, Rawalpindi and Multan.

To ensure that the fool -proof security, army and rangers have been requested to help the police.

For Lahore, Rawal Pindi and Multan, a wing of rangers and two companies from the Pakistani army has been requested.

In addition, Services of Special Services Group (SSG) commands and Army Aviation Helicopters have also been requested at all three venues.

The matches in the 10th edition of HBL Pakistan Super League are scheduled to take place from April 11 to May 18.

FOOLFAST SAFETY EVENTS will be in place during matches, team stays and traveling in Lahore, Rawalpindi and Multan.

Security arrangements for ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier

The Punjab Home Department has also requested implementation of Pakistan Army and Rangers staff for security for ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier.

ICC Women’s World Cup -qualifying matches are scheduled to take place in Lahore. Six women’s teams participate in the World Cup qualifying tournament.

The participating teams include Pakistan, Bangladesh, Scotland, Ireland, West Indies and Thailand. Army and Rangers staff have been requested to provide security services until April 20.

The Punjab Home Department has formally submitted a request to the Federal Ministry of the Interior on the deployment of Army and Rangers staff.
