Former Major League Baseball Pitcher Octavio Dotel was among the victims of the Dominican Republic’s nightclub event event, according to several reports.
Dotel was a resident of Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic, and was inside Jet seen the nightclub early Tuesday when the roof fell when singer Rubby Pérez appeared on stage.
Dotel and Pérez were later pulled from the rubble. But the World Series Master buzz after allegedly after his injuries. The professional baseball league for the Dominican Republic confirmed Dotel’s death.

“The Professional Baseball League for the Dominican Republic (Lidom) expresses its regret for the death of the former pitcher, Octavio Dotel, which was immortal of the pavilia of the fame of the Dominican sport. Peace to his soul,” wrote the league in a social media translation into English.

General Juan Manuel Méndez, head of the Emergency Operations Center, also told the Dominican newspaper Notalias Sin that Dotel had died.

Pakinomist Digital contacted the Emergency Operations Center and an agent who was listed for Dotel for comment but did not hear right back.
Dotel played for 13 MLB teams during his 15-year-old big league career. He debuted with New York Mets And last appeared in a game of Detroit Tigers in 2013.

The pitcher was a member of St. The Louis Cardinals team that defeated Texas Rangers in Game Seven of 2011 World Series.
Dotel is survived by his wife Massiel and their two children, according to his MLB-listed bio.
