Islamabad:
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday confirmed the government’s unwavering obligation to Balochistan’s development and called it important to Pakistan’s overall progress.
The prime minister spoke with a high-level delegation of lawyers from Balochistan here at the PM house.
The meeting attended the Federal Minister of Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar, President of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) Rauf Atta, President of Balochistan High Court Bar Association (BHCBA) Attaullah Langove and member of Balochistan wore Council Khalil Kakar.
The meeting discussed the current law and order and security situation in Balochistan.
“The talented human resource in Balochistan is a valuable asset to Pakistan,” the prime minister added.
The delegation asked the Prime Minister to play an effective role in improving the law and the order situation in Balochistan.
In this context, the delegation highlighted the most important significance of legal acts as well as consultations with political and stem management in the province. They also informed the Prime Minister about their meetings with other political leaders and stakeholders on the issue.
The SCBA president and BHCBA president informed the Prime Minister on government issues in Balochistan and sought his leadership and guidance on solving all related challenges.
The delegation appreciated the Prime Minister’s obligation to prioritize the development of Balochistan and the federal government’s efforts to welfare for the population of the province.
They also praised the initiative from Danish Schools, which provides quality education to students with financially disadvantaged backgrounds and requested the creation of such schools in Khanzi and Mangchar (Kalat).
In addition, the delegation paid tribute to the hundreds of scholarships previously awarded to Balochistan students for higher education and requested resuscitation of this program.
The Prime Minister sent immediate directives to the relevant authorities for the implementation of these issues.
Azerbaijan
Separately, the prime minister met on Tuesday with the Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov with his delegation.
The two sides agreed to further strengthen cooperation in sectors such as minerals and mining, oil exploration, renewable energy, information technology, infrastructure development for regional connection, defense, hospitality and tourism and the development of human resources.
The meeting focused on improving Pakistan-Azerbaijanian cooperation and discussing rising investments across different sectors.
The Prime Minister welcomed the Azerbaijani delegation warmly and conveyed a message about goodwill for the president of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister stated that Pakistan and Azerbaijan enjoy long -term fraternal connections based on shared faith, culture, mutual respect and fraternity.
