Olivia Munn sincerely talked about her bond with the woman who gave birth to her daughter.
In a recent chat with Self The 44-year-old actress spoke of the birth of her second child, daughter Mai June, whom she and her husband John Mulaney welcomed via Surrogate.
The X-Men: Apocalypse Star revealed that she had a really special bond with the surrogate and has an impact on her and Mulaney, 42.
“Oh yes, the surrogate is still in our lives,” Munn replied when asked if she wants to tell her daughter that she was born through Surrogati. “She was a better pregnant woman than I could have ever been.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Munn gave insight into what she was looking for in a surrogate.
“First of all, she doesn’t know any celebrities,” Munn noted. “Over everything else, I just wanted her to be kind. She’s an incredible mother, an incredible human being, an incredible friend, just wonderful.”
Mother of two, who were diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023, poured her out further and shared the feelings behind her hard decision.
“I needed [her] To understand that I had to go this route. It wasn’t for superficial reasons or because I wanted to put my job first. I am not saying that any of these reasons are not valid for these people. And I don’t judge anyone who makes these decisions based on it, but I needed her to understand that this would be difficult for me, ”she noted.
“It makes me emotional – it’s your baby and the baby is another place in the world,” the Newspace Actress added.
Munn and Mulaney are also parents of son Malcolm, 3.
