Deshaun Watson has appeared in only 19 games in the three years since he bred an unprecedented fully guaranteed $ 230 million contract with Cleveland Browns.
The 32 games watson missed were either due to suspension or injury. The NFL suspended Watson in 11 games in 2022, but a shoulder injury cut Quarterback’s season card in 2023. Last October, Watson was sidelined by a broken Achilles.
Watson then did the same late again in January. The latest setback is expected to largely sideline the three-time pro bowler throughout the 2025 season, but Watson pushed back towards that schedule.

“Everyone doubts me. Everyone doesn’t believe me,” Watson said in the video sent to his Instagram account showing him. “Everyone doesn’t think I can get back to the place I was. But I know and I believe in the work I’ve put in the fact that I believe in myself … I know I want to be far better than before.”

The 29-year-old added to his comeback argument by saying that he doesn’t “have anything pretty much to lose.”

Despite Watson’s latest attitude, Browns owner Jimmy Haslam recently admitted the franchise “took a big swing and miss” when it came to the pursuit and the ultimate signature of Watson.
We thought we had quarterback. We didn’t, and we gave up a lot of draft to get him. So we have to dig out of that gap, ”Haslam journalists said earlier this month at the NFL’s annual league meeting in Florida.
Apart from the injuries, Watson claimed with some high profiled problems away from the football field. More than a dozen women accused Watson of participating in actions of sexual mismatch during massage therapy.

Watson is just a few seasons removed from being kept high respect for his athletics. During most of his career with Houston Texans, Watson was widely considered one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL.
Watson has thrown 19 touchdowns against 12 interceptions in a Browns uniform. He finished his five-year-old stint with the Texans with 104 Touchdowns against 36 interceptions.
These impressive numbers came over just four seasons on the football field. Watson was excluded from each game during the 2021 season after a trade request, which ultimately led to a standoff between quarterback and the team.
