SINDH extends the deadline for replacing vehicles for vehicles Smart Card

The Sindh government has expanded the deadline to replace old vehicle registration books with new security-experienced smart cards until May 15, 2025.

The decision was announced by SINDH Minister for Excise Tax, Taxation and Drugs, Mukesh Kumar Chawla, who approved the expansion to ease the public, reported Express News.

A formal notification has been issued by the department for excise duty, taxation and drug control.

Previously, the deadline for switching to smart registration card was set to April 3, 2025.

Authorities have called on vehicle owners across the province to use the expansion and have their old documents updated before the new Cutoff date.

The new smart cards are equipped with improved security features aimed at limiting forgery and ensuring digital registration.
