Strands is New’s latest word play after them like Wordle, Spellbi and connections – and it’s fun. However, it can be difficult, so read on for my threads tips.

At first I thought we were looking for synonyms for rain – I even found “snow” hidden in the puzzle – but fortunately this was not the case.
Drawing of an empty and spotted many words that were actually not in the game, I took a tip to get me going and didn’t look back.
The first word I got myself was daffodil – a flower that doesn’t carry the same gravitas as the others in our Spring Flowers search.
At least this is the case in the UK, where they are the lowest cost flowers you can buy and as a consequence is great for a little cheap and cheerful color, but does not really cut it if you buy flowers to send some a romantic message.
They don’t say so much ‘I love you’ as much as ‘I would rather not spend too much money on you’.

What is new threads?
Strands is Nyt’s non-new-new-more word games after Wordle and connections. It is now a fully expanded member of Nyt’s Games Stable, which has been running for a year and can be played on the new Games website on desktop or mobile.
