Rory McIlroy joined some golf emergency after winning Masters on Sunday.
McIlroy became the sixth player who has ever won a career Grand Slam, who raises the trophy in all four major tournaments – Masters, PGA Championship, US Open and Open Championship.
This one at Augusta National Golf Club has been the most elusive for McIlroy, who had not won a major since it open in 2014.

After beating Justin Rose in an playoffs on Sunday, one of the five former Grand Slam-winning golfers shared his congratulations to the Northern Irishes as he knows too well how much it meant to him.
“Welcome to the club,” Tiger Woods wrote on X. “To finish Grand Slam on Augusta is something special. Your determination in this round and this whole journey has shown through and now you’re part of the story. Proud of you!”
Woods was missed at Augusta this week as he suffered an Achilles injury last month, which reportedly did not have him unable to go properly. While it was known that his golf season is probably on the shelf, some wondered if he would be present at Tuesday night Champions Dinner.
Unfortunately, Woods was not among those who enjoyed Scottie Scheffler’s prepared menu.

Woods and McIlroy have had a great golf relationship over the years, both to be Nike athletes and being two of the best in the game since the latter became a professional.
During his interview after round with journalists, McIlroy noted that Woods was among those in the Grand Slam Club, who annually reminded him of his belief that the green jacket would soon be on his back.
Woods, Gene Sarazen, Gary Player, Ben Hogan and Jack Nicklaus were the only five golfers to ever end the Grand Slam until McIlroy did it on Sunday.
It was done in quite a drama-filled way in which McIlroy went through several heights and low through his last round to only miss a couple of putt on his 72 hole in the tournament, forcing an end game with Rose.

But McIlroy dug deeply and hit the necessary drive and approach shot at 18 once again to stand up with a short Birdie put for the victory.
A weight was lifted by his shoulders, and the story came with the green jacket that 2024 Masters Master Scottie Scheffler placed on McIlroy’s back in Butler Cabin after his life round.
