- Colorware has released a crayola-inspired Apple Pencil Pro
- The device is very similar to a colorful waxing
- You can still use it as a regular Apple Pencil Pro
Apple products are known for their distinctive visual style that usually combines slim minimalism and metallic professionalism. What it is not generally known for is a childlike feeling of whimsical, but that is exactly what you get with Colorware’s latest custom Apple Pencil Pro. It could turn out to be one of the best iPad accessories around.
Baptized Apple Crayon Pro, device is an Apple Pencil Pro in function, but certainly not in shape. Instead of the usual removed white stylus, Colorware’s version is arresting as a waxed pencil. It comes in seven color black, mint, pink, purple, red, white and yellow-with the well-known paper-like wrapping around the product’s body. If you did not look too carefully, you may not be aware that they were apple pencils at all.
And although Colorwars modified Apple Pencil Pro looks very different from Apple’s original, it works the same way. You get the same exact drawing and wireless charging as you do with a regular Apple Pencil Pro, albeit in a very different form factor.
A quirky adapted crayon
Colorware is known for its Resskins of popular devices and has released a variety of custom models across different product lines. For example, you can buy a pair of Retro AirPods or an original PlayStation-inspired DualSense Controller. The company releases many different designs available from its store.
This is also not the first time that Colorware has been training the eye of the Apple Pencil Pro. Last year, the company released the Apple Number 2 Pencil Pro, which was an Apple pencil designed to look like a standard wood-and-graphite pencil.
The main disadvantage of these fun inspections is the price. The crayon-inspired Apple Pencil Pro costs $ 215 (about £ 160 / AU $ 340), for example — a $ 86 mark over $ 129 / £ 129 / AU $ 219 Apple Pencil Pro that Apple sells.
Still, if you are after a quirky accessory to pair with any of the best iPads, Colorware Apple Pencil Pro can be a worth looking at. But whatever you do, try not to sharpen it.
