- Atomos Studiosonic is studio class headphones for $ 199
- Large 50 mm drivers with 180º rotating ear cups
- 10Hz to 40 khz frequency range, 105db sensitivity, 30-OHM impedance
Atomos is known for its advanced video equipment for movie producers, videographers and streamers-and it has just launched an equally hardcore pair of headphones with what looks like a seriously fantastic specification.
The new studioosonic production headphones are wired over ears with 105DB sensitivity and 30-OHM impedance, so they are not difficult to run at all (no amplifier is needed) and the frequency range from 10Hz to 40 kHz is very impressive.
There are 50 mm drivers (40 mm is typically the largest dynamic driver you get among the best wireless headphones for reference) that drives this and I would expect a very neutral sound from them as monitoring cans.
Atomos Studiosonic Production Headphones: Features, Pricing and Availability
Studiosonic production headphones have 50 mm drivers, and the ear cups can be rotated 180 degrees when you need to monitor one. The removable two-meter cable has been raised to make it anti-rank and there is a double 3.5 mm and 6.5 mm gates for wide compatibility.
They are closed back, so you will not irritate the people around you-and to isolate you from them-and they are made with ultra-soft memory foam so that they remain comfortable through even the longest listening, mixing or recording sessions.
They are not intended for purely recreational music listening, but with specifications like these at a very reasonable price, they could be an interesting competitor among the best wired headphones for them with the eye of music production.
The headphones are available for ordering now, but they will not be delivered until June 2025. RRP is $ 199, about £ 150 / AU $ 312 ex -tax.
