A man was arrested in Laorne’s Kahna area for alleged attempts to attack a 15-year-old boy, police said Friday.

According to police, the incident took place in Sadho Ki Village, where the boy had gone to cut feed in the field. The suspect named HEERA, allegedly lured the boy and tried to attack him.

During the incident, the boy raised an alarm. The suspect allegedly responded by threatening to kill him and physically assaulted him.

Police said the boy sustained damage to his left arm as a result of the fight.

The Kahna police conducted a quick operation and arrested the suspect from the locality.

A case has been registered against him and has been handed over to the gender cell for further examination.

Station House Officer (Sho) Kahna Police Station said the case is being investigated with full seriousness. “The suspect will be treated in accordance with; AW. Those involved in any kind of exploitation of children will have a strict act,” he said.

Police officials called on Publci to remain vigilant and immediately report any suspicious activity, especially regarding children’s safety.

“There would be no gentleness for individuals who are involved in such crimes,” sho added.

The study is currently underway and further litigation will be based on the evidence collected by the gender cell.
