Luka Doncic crushed his cell phone after learning from Lakers-Maverick’s trade

The emotional divorce between Dallas Mavericks And Luka Doncic has left the 26-year-old NBA star Heart Bridge in February. It has also left him with a crushed cell phone.

In a recent conversation with ESPN, Doncic revealed his feelings about the shocking blockbuster trade that sent him to Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Anthony Davis, Max Christie and a future choice of first round.

Lakers went away the clear winners of this deal, but for Doncic it was an emotional exit. One that left him with a broken heart and phone.

“Sadness, mostly. I was still in shock, like crazy shock. I felt my heart was broken, honest,” Doncic said in the interview. He revealed he was in bed when he was first told about the news. His first reaction? Throws his phone.

“It still works,” Doncic said with a smile as he revealed the damage on his phone.

Donici spent the first 6.5 years of his career in Dallas. When asked if it was where he had hoped to end it, he replied, “Of course it’s an easy question.”

Doncic has thrive with Lakers, Meanwhile, Maverick’s general manager Nico Harrison has become public enemy No. 1. According to Doncic, he has not spoken to Harrison since the trade, including the night he learned about it.

Earlier this week, Harrison spoke with media members along with Maverick’s CEO Rick Welts behind closed doors, where only Dallas-based journalists were present to ask questions. Harrison said he had “no regret” about the trade.

“There is no regret about the trade,” he said via ESPN. “Part of my job is to do the best for mavericks, not only today, but also in the future, and some of the decisions I need to make will be unpopular.

“It’s my job and I have to stand by it.”

For Doncic, the comment from Harrison since the trade has added salt to the wound.

“It’s just sad as he is talking right now,” he told ESPN. “I never say anything bad about him, and I just want to move on. Fans, my ex-amber, I will always keep me in my heart. It’s time for me to move on from there.”

The focus now remains on the basketball and the playoffs. Lakers hosts Minnesota Timberwolves Saturday night in Game 1 on their Western Conference first round match-up.
