Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday, strongly condemned attacked by Prime Minister Kheal Das Kohistani.
He spoke with Kheal Das Kohistani on the phone and expressed his sympathy.
The Prime Minister assured the prime minister for a thorough investigation into the incident.
He said the attack on public representatives was unacceptable and added that the persons involved in the incident would be given exemplary punishment.
Formerly targeted protesters in the Thatta Vehicle for Prime Minister of Religious Affairs, Kheal Das Kohistani, during a demonstration against controversial irrigation channel projects.
The incident unfolded as Kohistani’s convoy tried to pass through an area where nationalist party members staged a protest. According to Express News, the protesters, angry with the convoy presence, reacted by furrying the vehicle with stones, eggs and tomatoes, accompanied by high slogans.
Despite the hostile reception, the convoy was able to safely leave the area without damage or reported additional clashes.
