Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) has completed the cleaning and washing of 266 churches all over the city before the start of the Easter festivities.

The company also paid out advance salary and bonuses to more than 15,000 Christian workers on the occasion.

Cleaning operations were also implemented in 79 residential areas in ten societies, while sanitation teams were deployed at 66 prominent churches, including Sacred Heart Cathedral, Anarkali Church, Don Bosco, Nolakha Church and Saint Anthony’s Church.

According to a statement, zero-waste initiatives were implemented in the most important Christian neighborhoods such as Youhanabad, Begum Kot, Christian Park, Wandala Road and Church Mohalla.
