The tensions were high as benches were cleared for Toronto Blue Jay Jays and Seattle Mariners on Saturday night.
The reason was Blue Jay’s starter Jose Berrio’s confronted Mariners Slugger Cal Raleigh, who the former thought they told his teammates what seats came while he was on the base.
Berrios and Raleigh passed each other when a lap ended, and the jug clearly said his piece to Catcher, which led to them both to be held back by their teammates.

Benches cleared as they continued to jaw back and forth, but nothing physically came from the change.
After the game, Berrios explained why he felt he had to say something to Raleigh.

“I don’t respond so often that way,” Berrios said. “I’m a quiet and chill guy. But when some people try to fight with us in the field, I don’t respect it. I don’t like it.”
Meanwhile, Raleigh ever refused to forward seats to his teammates.
“I wanted my pitchers to do the same,” Raleigh said when asked about Berrios’ words. “If someone thought they tilted, I would have them to say something. Just how it is. Competitive baseball games. People are right in the heart of it.”

While Berrios were not happy, his manager knows to steal signs in a legal way is completely “fair game.”
“Team doing it. We’ll get it,” John Schneider explained. “In the heat of the moment, you get a little fired up. I didn’t think the benches needed to clear. There was nothing crazy going on. But I like when our guys stay up for themselves.”
The marines ended up defeating Blue Jays, 8-4. Raleigh went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one race scored and three walks.
