Kashmir Council member Younas Mir has hailed the recent statement from the General Syed Asim Munir of the Chief Souls regarding the Kashmir question under the overseas convention held in Islamabad.
In his statement, Younas Mir said the army chief’s confirmation of Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri people is a source of strength and insurance for Kashmiris both at home and abroad. “His words reflect our deeply rooted commitment from our institutions to the fair cause of Kashmir and the right to self -determination as the declined in the United Nations decisions,” Mir said.
He pointed out that the Army Chief’s message had not only resonated with the Diaspora community, but also sent a clear signal to the international community on Pakistan’s principle attitude towards Jammu and Kashmir.
Mir appreciated the leadership of the Pakistani army to consistently highlight the situation of the Kashmiri people during occupation and for their efforts to keep the issue alive on diplomatic forums.
“We are grateful to the management who continues to repeat the voice of Kashmiris. The overseas Pakistanis are united with our brothers and sisters in Kashmir and will continue to raise their votes globally,” Mir added.
Meanwhile, MIR ended a significant diplomatic commitment to Oman along with the prominent Pakistani community leaders Shaikh Syed Fayaz Ali Shah and Mian Riaz and held high -level meetings with the ambassador of Pakistan to Oman and the governor of Muscat.
During his visit, Mir met with Imran Ali, ambassador for Pakistan in Oman and discussed cases of the Pakistani Diaspora, especially the Kashmiri community in the Golf region.
Both sides recognized the valuable contributions from overseas Pakistanis to national development and explored opportunities for greater community engagement and support.
Mir also had the honor of meeting with governor of Muscat Sheikh Saif Bin Hamer Al Shukaili. The two leaders exchanged views on strengthening relationships between people and people, improving cultural ties and promoting mutual cooperation between Kashmir and Oman in areas with shared interest.
MIR also approached a collection of community leaders and prominent members of Pakistani and Kashmiri -Diaspora in Muscat, appreciating their continued efforts to promote Pakistan’s image abroad and confirm the importance of unity among the overseas Pakistanis.
