Peshawar:
Serious differences have arisen within Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) Internal responsibility committee of the pure chit given to Khyber-Pakhwa assembly speaker Babar Saleem Swati regarding allegations of corruption and illegal recruitment.
Committee members, former Governor Shah Farman and Mosaddiq Abbasi, have raised concern after a report from co -committee member Qazi Anwar appeared in the media. The report declared Babar Saleem Swati innocent of the claims.
The responsibility committee had previously sent a questionnaire to the speaker about complaints about illegal agreements in the KP assembly. SWATI presented his written response to the committee.
However, Qazi Anwar’s report – based on the speaker’s response – appeared in the media and cleared him for any wrongdoing, which received strong reservations from other committee members.
Sources told The Express Pakinomist that the three members of PTI’s internal responsibility committee disagreed with themselves about the report.
They said that the report appearing in the media has not been issued by the committee but by a member of the committee. According to sources, internal reports are not published in such cases, but are not sent directly to the party’s chief.
The report was to be sent by the committee to Imran Khan, who was published prematurely.
On the other hand, a committee member said he could not comment on the report at this time. This case will only be discussed after hearing the basic chairman.
He said this committee was set up by the basic chairman and the report on any question will also be submitted to him.
The report can be called an official report when signed by the three members of the committee and a report from a member could be called his personal opinion.
