Dealers have announced a complete closing strike on April 26 across Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) the province of solidarity with the people of Palestine.

The message was made by Senior Vice President of Jamiat Business Forum, Mushtaq Ahmed Khalil, who said the strike will include the entire province, including the capital, Peshawar. He confirmed that all major trading organizations have declared support for the move.

A special meeting is planned for April 24 in Peshawar to complete the preparations. According to Khalil, events are already underway for a peaceful strike.

He also emphasized that social media platforms are actively used to promote the boycott of Israeli products along with the planned protest.

Coordination with various trade bodies is underway, and market leaders have reportedly insured full cooperation to close businesses for the day.

Lectures are also in the process of representatives of the transport sector to expand participation.

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has announced a nationwide strike on April 26 to protest against Israel’s ongoing military operations in Gaza and to express solidarity with Palestinians. The call was made by JI chief Hafiz Naeemur Rehman during a large pro-Palestine rally held on Sunday along the Islamabad Expressway.

Rehan, who approached thousands of participants, condemned what he described as genocide in Gaza, where more than 51,000 Palestinians have reportedly been killed since Israel launched his military response to Hamas’ attack on October 7.
