Jamiat Urvila-e-Islam (Jui-F) has denied media reports suggesting that it has formally excluded an alliance with Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI), calling such claims not verified.
In a statement issued on Sunday, a Jui-F spokesman said no official announcement of decisions has been made during the party’s recently completed two-day central general council meeting.
The spokesman emphasized that “news reports circulating in the media do not reflect any formal statement from the party.”
The clarification comes in response to widespread local media coverage that claims that Juii-F has decided not to ally with PTI or participate in any coalition formed according to its behavior.
These reports also suggested that the party had decided to maintain an independent opposition role in parliament and to assess parliamentary issues on a case -by -case basis.
The party confirmed that the most important decisions were made during the meeting, but said they will officially be revealed over time.
In January, a delegation from Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) met with Jamat Disadvanta-e-Islam-Fazl (Jui-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman in her residence and invited the party to join a proposed magnificent opposition alliance against the government.
Later in March, Maulana Fazlur Rehman declared that the party would make a decision on a potential alliance with PTI after Eidul Fitr.
