Brandon Sklenar was talking about the confidence he has in himself.

In a conversation to Interview Magazine, with Hans The housekeeper Co -star, Sydney Sweeney, Skrenar remembered that he went away after audition, with pure faith and confidence.

“When I tried after Edward Mapplethorpe,” he said, referring to the biographical drama in 2018 Mapplethorpe. “I made this little movie about Robert Mapplethorpe and I played his brother. It was the only second time I’ve had that feeling. I just knew I would get it.”

He was even more confident in his role in the American Western drama and remembered, “but I have never had anything like Spencer before.”

“The first time I read it, my hair stood up on my arm and I was just like, ‘yes, this is mine. No one else can do this,'” added Sklenar.

By clarifying that it was not “from a feeling of arrogance,” he said, “it’s just a really calm kind of faith.”

“On paper, in my opinion, he is the coolest character of any TV show,” he said of his character, Spencer, and called the character “self-conscious and he is vulnerable” and added, “as a young man, he is kind of everything you want in a character.”
