Cooper Flagg is on its way to NBA After only one season at Duke.
The Freshman star went to social media Monday to announce his decision to declare the draft in June. He is largely expected to be the first overall choice.

“It was an incredible year, probably the best year of my life,” Flagg, 18, said in a video sent to his Instagram. “I have so much gratitude I feel so blessed for all the opportunities I got.”

“Duke has always been a dream for me but I am glad to announce that I am entering my name in 2025 NBA draft. Day is just the beginning, but I have ‘The Brotherhood’ with me for life. ”
Flagg led Duke this season in almost any statistical category, including points (709), rebounds (278), assists (155), stealing (52) and blocks per day. Battle (1.4). He average 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.4 steals per Battle, but his best view was in January when he set an ACC-Nybygorge record with a 42-point performance against Notre Dame.

“Really proud of Cooper in the special season he had this year. I think the accolades are talking for themselves with what he did,” said head coach Jon Scheyer in a video broadcast on the team’s social media. “His highlights, his statistics, the ways he influenced the game on both ends of the floor, really in all category, were outside the charts, who good for a beginner season that a guy has had here.”
Flagg closed a phenomenal year with a semi -final performance in the NCAA lord and was named the winner of the award for the Naismith Player of the Year in 2025 and became just the fourth beginner who was appointed his recipient.

The draft lottery is scheduled for next month. The Utah Jazz Finished the season with NBA’s worst record and has a 14% chance of winning the first choice.
