One day after Nico Iamaleeava announced her decision to leave Tennessee to UCLA, it seems that a quarterback “Trade” has ended.
Joey Aguilar, who joined Bruins through the Winter Portal, will now be on his way to Knoxville and join the volunteers, ESPN reports.
Iamaleeava’s saga was very publicized when it came from a reported rift with Tennessee over zero negotiations.

ESPN reported that Iamaleeava was looking for an agreement worth $ 4 million for next season with Tennessee, which he led to college -football -final game last season. Reportedly, he felt he deserved what other quarterbacks that transferred got, including Carson Beck, who left Georgia Bulldogs to take part in Miami Hurricanes.
Iamaleeava’s zero drama with VOLS sent shock waves through college football because he became the first college player to hold a program for a major payout. His deal was allegedly worth up to $ 10 million over several seasons and he was ready to earn $ 2.4 million this coming season where he could set up as a first round of 2026 NFL draft.

Aguilar played last season in the Appalachian State and made his step earlier in the high season. But Iamaleeava confirmed on Sunday that he was on his way to UCLA and forced Aguilar’s hand.
With another year’s eligibility, Aguilar has thrown himself into 6,760 yards and 56 touchdowns in his last two seasons.
