Penn Badgley has currently exposed the challenges he was facing while filming Gossip girl.

While you appear on Call her father Podcast, The You Actor sincerely discussed how the popularity of the series had affected his life.

“There are many differences between movies and TV,” he began by saying. “One of them is that when you make a movie, you do it once, you know? And you give it all your everything, and then you move on, whether you want or don’t you do. When you make a TV show you do it constantly.”

The Hollywood actor got fame to make the character of Dan Humphrey in Gossip girl from 2007 to 2012.

“What begins to happen when you are in this one role for a long time, the aspect of celebrity is part of it, a huge part of what is not enough separation, I think, for someone,” he added.

At the time the show premiered Badlegley was 21-year-old, he faced emotional challenges to identify his individual personality with the role.

Before the ending, the 38-year-old actor shared, “Just like what people seemed to think that Dan seemed to be what people thought about me. And now I had probably meaning, enough intelligence, probably self-esteem … as if I didn’t lose myself, but it bothered me.”

For those who are not daring in the early season of the series, he was in an on-and-off relationship with Co-Star, Blake Lively, from 2007 to 2010.
