The Stranger Things Animated series, currently in the works on Netflix, officially has a title and it raises a lot of exciting questions.
Called Stranger Things: Tales from ’85The show draws inspiration from the weekend morning award that a generation of kids enjoyed in their pajamas while wolfing down a bowl of grain.
“We’ve always dreamed of an animated Stranger Things In the vein of Saturday morning short films that we grew up loving, and watching this dream that was realized has been absolutely exciting, ”said franchise slices Matt and Ross Duffer.
I have to say, the idea of it Stranger Things could take his retro vibe one step further by channeling them as Transformers and He-man Have I already reached Coco Puffs.
What will Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 is about?
The title asks many questions, especially in terms of what the show will actually be about.
Detailed details have been few and far in between, with focus still square on and show’s last season. Netflix plans to release more information under their panel at the Annecy Film Festival in June, but until then we would speculate Stories from … Monikes are very suitable for an anthology -approach a la Star Wars: Tales Over at Disney Plus.
The ’85 Part also places the new spin-off close to season three of the main shows, which takes place in the summer of 1985, so we could see stories about jumping post-capture or even Dustin’s time at the camp knows where before season and his meeting Suzie. There is also the fact that the Russian villains managed to build an entire scientific facility under Starcourt Mall, and that Brenner was absent, suspected of death, during this period, waiting to be explored.
While Duffers hand over the showrunner reigns to Glitch Techs Creator Eric Robles, they remain aboard as executive producers, and assures fans that the franchise is in safe hands, saying, “We couldn’t be more blown up by what Eric Robles and his team have come up with – the manuscripts and the artwork are incredible and we can’t wait to share more with you!”
When can we expect Stranger Things Season 5?
As for Stranger Things’ Long waited fifth and last season, details are still thin on the ground.
Fans may have expected a release in the middle of 2025 for what is definitely one of the best Netflix shows and the biggest blockbusters of the year, but with Wednesday Confirmed to return to one of the best streaming services in August, it seems unlikely.
A leak earlier this year pointed to a release at the end of 2025 and revealed some suspected spoilery plot details, but we don’t go into them here.
